The Infidelity Economy

Bloomberg’s Businesweek cover story for February 14-20, 2011 was about AshleyMadison.com and the Invention of the Adultery Marketplace.  I remember the first time I saw one of their ads on TV – my first reaction was, “You can advertise that?”  It was beyond shocking to see an ad that promotes cheating.   The ads typically have a voice over that says, “These two people are married, but not to each other.”  The tagline for AshleyMadison? Life Is Short. Have an Affair.  Read Cheating, Incorporated online.
